
Course Overview
The Health and Social Care Diploma (Level 3) is designed for those who wish to become Health Care Assistants, or Health and Social Care workers, helping to make a positive difference in the local and wider community. Our course provides you with key skills and knowledge in areas such as personal care, health and safety in a care environment and care for those with mental illness. The course includes a placement as part of the programme, which involves working 15 hours minimum per week. This could be as a home care worker, assisting other qualified social workers, or based in a residential care home.
The course consists of 18-21 compulsory units in the form written assignments.. You will also be assessed on your contribution in the workplace. Each student will be allocated an assessor, who will provide one-to-one assistance and guidance to you, evaluating your performance in the role provided. If you are interested in the health sector or already have some previous experience in the area then this course would be perfect to help you develop existing skills, whilst acquiring new skills and experience in health and social care.
